This year's 30th Hemingway Days celebration was the best we have attended yet! All the Papas are a lot of fun and the staff at Sloppy Joe's make it even more memorable! Special thank yous to Beverly and Lou for always looking after us! We always enjoy a Sloppy good time!

NEXT YEAR I'LL GIVE IT A SHOT
My best friend from WPB says I look like the old man himself. Last year, while hanging out at Sloppy Joe's with him he said I should enter your contest. I told him there are probably twenty guys who come in here every day who look more like Hemingway than I do. But then, while in North Carolina to meet up with my son who just got back from Afghanistan, my ex took this pic of me and my daughter and I have to admit, it scared me. Only thing is, I might need my hat to pull it off because underneath it I have NO Hair! Maybe next year I'll give it a shot. If nothing else, I'd still be in Key West and sucking down suds at Sloppy Joe's.

We're from East Coast Canada, our journey was very short in Key West and I heard of this place called Sloppy Joe's we just had to stop by. We tried at night but the place was full of course. The next morning we stop by for a great meal and good beer of course.

THIS PLACE ROCKS!
We were at Sloppy Joe's, for what seemed like, ALL day and ALL night! No matter what we were doing, we always ended up back there! The Benderz were amazing! The staff rocks (Bartenders & Bouncers). We have been spoiled, now we don't want to go anywhere else! We will definitely be back! For two of the days we were there, we spent 6-7 hours at once, not including the beer stops in between the other bars! This place ROCKS!

Annual Trip to the BEST bar in the World
Me and one of my Mates try and get a trip to Sloppy Joe's every year (much to the annoyance of the wives). Anyway just a note to say we will be back March 6, 2010 and can't wait. Not sure of bands etc. as not yet posted but so far seen Benderz, Emily's Toy Box and of course The Pete and Wayne Show. Here's hopin' for another great band. Last trip out met a guy and his girl from Chicago (in the middle of photo). People so friendly and atmosphere excellent. See you soon! It's a hell of a way to go for a beer!!!

SLOPPY JOE'S IS SPECIAL
My friend Mat and I drove all the way from Virginia Beach, VA in July 2009. Everyone always told me if you go to Key West you have to stop at Sloppy Joe's. Ended up spending part of every day there. Whether it was to get a frozen drink in the day to cool me down or party the night away with the great bands. Met a lot of cool people from all over the world there. First night in town I met a nice girl at Sloppy Joe's named Kristy and ended up spending the rest of my vacation with her. You can thank her for this picture. I will always have a special place in my heart for Sloppy Joe's.

GREETZ FROM FLANDERS
We are from Flanders, Europe. We recently visited the USA and Key West for the first time. On Tuesday 06/16/09 we were down to Key West. We hung out on Duval Street and off course Sloppy Joe's. It was a great experience and we heard Brian Roberts perform on stage...Great show! We met some nice people from Orlando and Buffalo. Sloppy Joe's = cozy atmosphere.

ALWAYS THE FIRST STOP!
Whenever we're in Key West, Sloppy Joe's is one of our first stops! There's always great food, cold drinks, a big crowd and top-notch entertainment. Even the kids love it!! My wife bought me a Sloppy Rita t-shirt after I told her Sloppy Rita made me think of her! That was so nice. We're looking forward to a return visit in August.

Another Pirate Looks at 40
Nikki, Reeny, Lorene, and Lisa had a great time on March 26th spending Reeny's 40th birthday. All first timers, all expected repeat customers! We enjoyed singing along with Pete & Wayne, and throwing back a few with our new found family at Sloppy Joe's.

KENNY CHESNEY
March 2009: We heard, on a Thursday, that our favorite artist, Kenny Chesney, was going to play at Sloppy Joe's. On Friday we drove down to Key West. We hung out on Duval St. and at Sloppy Joe's. On Saturday, we woke up at 7:00 a.m. for a concert at 5:30 p.m. We waited 8 hours until Kenny started playing. The concert was great and of course we'll be back next year. Thanks Sloppy Joe's!

THEY WERE AWESOME!
My first time in Sloppy Joe's was July 06. My husband and I were in the Keys for a week. Emily's Toybox was the band that played all week. They were awesome!! We had the best time!! THEY ROCK!
My boyfriend Kevin and I had a great time watching our favorite band Emily's Toybox on February 27, 2009! I am from Lock Haven, Pennsylvania and Kevin lives in Miami. We are big fans of ETB! Kevin travels to Lock Haven for the summers and we catch every show we can. I traveled a long way to see him and them. We had a blast! This was our first time seeing them live with their newest members Jason and Milhouse and we couldn't have picked a better place! They rock!!!! See you next year!

AWESOME VIBE!
My wife and I spent 2 days in Key West prior to a trip to the Dry Tortugas. A (very) young lady who was bartending at the time, took our picture. It was our first trip to the Keys and Sloppy Joe's. My wife and I were married 5 years ago on the beach in Key West and come back every year for our anniversary. One of the first spots that we hit as soon as we get there is Sloppy Joe's! We always meet great people there and always seem to meet people from Maryland. The bartenders are great and make you want to come back time and again.

My grand daughter and I were down there on vacation for Lobster Fest and came home with some great memories and pictures. The main street in the evening came alive with venders and
some food that you could not get anywhere else.

WE WILL BE BACK FOR FANTASY FEST!
So, my girlfriend Terre and I decided to go to Key West for Halloween 2008. It was a blast. We always ended up at Sloppy Joe's. VS. The Earth was playing on stage Halloween night. They told the crowd that we could get a free t-shirt if we would get on stage and dance. Well, of course, Terre and I, being the party girls of Clear Lake, TX, jumped at this. We got on stage and did our thing. It was a blast. Key West/Sloppy Joe's was the best time of our lives so far! Thanks!
