Sloppy Joe’s staff and customer safety has always been our highest priority, so as we begin the process of reopening, we are making necessary changes to keep you safe.  We ask you do your part to keep our Sloppy Joe’s family safe.

We have been busy updating procedures to reopen.  With this afternoons announcement of bars reopening on Friday, we will need to gather all necessary information from state, Monroe County and City of Key West on requirements and recommendations. 

 We will not be opening Friday, June 5th When we complete our new procedures and train staff we’ll announce Sloppy Joe’s reopen date.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

On March 17, 2020 Sloppy Joe’s made the decision to put safety first, and close Sloppy Joe’s ahead of the Governor’s request.

Sloppy Joe’s staff and customer safety has always been our first priority.  Sloppy Joe’s will continue to follow instructions given by the City of Key West, Monroe County, State of Florida and government.

As a leader in the community we are doing our part to help suppress the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).   Please be responsible and follow the recommendations of our health experts.

March 17, 2020 7:00AM – SLOPPY JOE’S IS CLOSED

Sloppy Joe’s staff and customer safety has always been our first priority.  As of today Sloppy Joe’s is closed, we will continue to evaluate recommendations of the CDC and Monroe County in week-by-week increments.  At this time, we feel this is the right thing to do, and are placing safety first.

As a leader in the community we are responding to the advice of the CDC and Monroe County by doing our part to help suppress the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

It is in the best interest of those we love, our staff and customers, that we make this decision today.  We ask everyone to do their part and be responsible in following the recommendations of health experts.

While the Florida Keys and Key West is still open to visitors, Monroe County has declared a State of Local Emergency. There will be no gatherings on County property of 50 or more people, and Emergency Management encourages all businesses and organizers to limit or cancel gatherings of 50 or more people through the next week.
